This I Believe
The story that I read about was a middle school teacher some where in the middle of the country. That finally found out that she was happy with just a boring life.
Reflection at Parkway
My reflection at Parkway is kinda hard to say only because I have nothing to reflect on. I haven't changed one bit. I'm still the same boy that likes to play basketball, football, soccer, ice hockey, polo, tennis, and golf. I'm still kinda getting good to great/bad grades in school. Teachers will forever love me. I hand in most of my work. I always show up late to all my classes. And that's the way I'm be for life I think. Don't get me wrong their were a lot of deeply depressing things that went on in and outside of school. But none of these things affected me, only because I have my eyes set on the end of my rainbow. These goals conceits of me playing ball in the NBA or joining the United States Air Force just like my dad, and my uncle did. And with the both of these dreams I will be able to provide for a family of 6 children and my wife named Brianna Brisco.
A reflection that I can say that I learned was that "Birth is at the beginning of the rainbow, death is at the end, and what you do with your life is in the middle, so just make the best of it while you can." This is probably the only thing that I can say that I learned this year and it wasn't even from a teacher. It was from a friend that doesn't even go to my school. People come into this world with a set path that I think that they can not change even if they wanted to. Only because I know first hand that people can never change even if they tried their hardest. So to have a reflection you have to change in some sort of way but that can never happen.

Spurs Can They Sweep Again?
The San Antonio Spurs are now one of the two oldest teams in the NBA finals besides the Boston Celtics. Some say that they may go all the way even though they still have to go against one of the youngest tams in the NBA, the Oklahoma City Thunder. For the last two rounds the Spurs have swept their a opponents. They've beaten the Los Angeles Clippers, and the Utah Jazz with on problems. Fans are there in the stadium supporting their player's play well. Even though there fighting old age just like the Boston Celtics are. But the conversations around the league is saying that they wont sweep the Thunder like they did many other teams in the playoffs. Sport caster's are saying that the series will go the full 7 games, with the Spurs losing 3 games to the Thunder's 4 games.
To me I honestly think that they will beat the Thunder in actually 6 games. But it will be the most physical games that they played so far as of right now in the playoffs. I only say this because the Spurs are a cool, and calm experienced team, that has been in this position before. So they can almost indefinitely handle themselves. What I'm not saying is that they will win the NBA championship. I just don't see them taking it all the way this year because they might use up all of their energy just to make it by the Thunder. Overall they have what it takes to go to the chip, but they may not just have a enough weapons if they're put up against a team like the Heat or the Sixers come out of the east and maybe even the Boston Celtics. All in all the Spurs will not sweep the next team that they play in 4 games.

Broadcasting Whiteness
I think that there isn't many diverse casts on the major network stations like ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX because many other races other than Caucasian don't apply themselves in school to better themselves to get a better education so that they can get a better job down the road. Like many statices say that barely 1/2 of blacks finish high school, and 1/3 of Hispanics decide to go to college. but with Asians 3/4 of them finish high school and 1/2 of them finish college. but then when there out of school researchers say that they mostly fall back on their family business.
TV is nowhere near diverse as it should be to me. I think that it should be equally shared between the top four races of the world. TV should be 25% Blacks, 25% Whites,25% Latinos, and 25% Asians. and then lets see if we hear compliments about TV not being diverse.
But really to me I don't think that TV producers have a responsibility to worry about if there shows are diverse enough. All that they have to worry about is if there shows sell and make them money not if there casts are diverse enough. But if their fans are talking about the show not being diverse enough then maybe there should change it.

Gun Fashion
The United States of America is now really starting to get on my nerves now. First they don't want us to have guns, now they do. Second they want us to have a license to carry a gun, and now they don't want us to have a license. And last they want us to hide or conceal it from the public, but know they're making clothes for us to look fashionable carry a gun. I really don't understand Americans anymore.
Do I think that this trend will go very far. No I don't think that this trend will go very far. It probably will last for like 2 months or something. I don't think that alot of clothing brands will go into manufacturing fashion for gun concealing. it was alot of trends over the years that just didn't make it that far, like the 70's look, the 80's look, the hippie look, the lumberjack look, and many other trends that just didn't last too long. And I think that the gun fashion will be the next one to go down in flames.
point blink simpily the gun fashion look just wont work out for very long.

Health fair at Parkway West
Parkway West has just had a health fair discussing HIV/AIDS, STD'S, abortion, adoption, drugs, unprotected and protected sex, the proper way to use birth control, and condoms. The school has a had the fair before. This fair is to protect students that are sexually active and to prepare the one's who aren't. This fair has opened many students eyes widely like one for example would be Andrew Kabanganii, and another would be Brianna Brisco. Like for example one of the teachers at the fair said "that Philadelphia is one of the most popular states that has teen pregnancy. And most of this happens between the hours of 3-7 pm on school days and on the weekends.
They gave away tons of condoms just for protection because if your going to do it then you should be prepared right. But to most people said that the health fair opened there eyes up wide. Like Marlo Larry said that she finally understands what her mother is talking about when she says that men only want one thing. Another student say(Tayib Inniess) think god for these condoms because i was really running low on them

Philadelphia Really Likes Meek Millz?
Philadelphia is one of the largest cities that puts out the hottest rappers alive besides New York. South side of Philly has a new rapper named Meek Millz. He reps north side to he dies, that's what everyone says. He has just been added to the group MMG with Rick Ross, Wale, T.I, Swizz Beats, and other while known rappers in the game today. Philadelphia says that he will always be Philly till he dies and where everywhere he lives at. They don't care that he went to jail up state or that he sold whack to his man's or that he parties every girl that he met. They just care that he's putting out some of the hottest music of the summer. And at the same time hes been named rookie of the year by the top 100's billboard's chart. He's been in the streets since he was 14. Out there putting that work in. Some say that it would be hard for him to change now because he's been living this lifestyle forever.
I like Meek not just because he's from Philly, but because of the use of his lyrics with the beat and how he tells us the real life of the streets. How he grow up with the hammer on his waist carry coke since the age of 7. Also how your friends change up on you when you get some major bread coming your way or become famous. And last but not least how the females just throw themselves at you. But with all the things that I think he's teaching the teens of my generation parents say that he uses to much much profanity but at least he's trying to clean his self up. Out of everyone that I asked said that they will forever love Meek Millz. And when he leaves this land of the living he will be missed. He's some what up to a Biggie Small type of rapping level Philadelphia's say.
To put this to an end Meek will always be in Philly's heart and loved.

Marijuana usage in Philadelphia, PA
Marijuana is the most available and commonly abused drug in Pennsylvania. Treatment data indicate that abuse has been high for many years, including among the state's youth. Despite large seizures, the drug continues to be readily available throughout the commonwealth. Most marijuana sold and used in Pennsylvania is transported from outside the state, although in-state cultivation operations, both indoor and outdoor, are quite widespread.
Abuse of marijuana in Philly is mostly common. The data for 1999 indicates that 32.3 percent of individuals in Pennsylvania aged 12 or older have or used marijuana in their lifetimes. In 2000 marijuana was the primary drug of abuse accounted for one quarter of all non alcohol drug admissions; this figure has stay the same since 1996. While admissions for cocaine(35%) and heroin(31%) were higher than for marijuana(25%), many clients in treatment for other drugs reported that they also abuse marijuana.

most births under 30
It used to be called illegitimacy. Now it is the new normal. After steadily rising for the past five decades, the share of children born to unmarried women has crossed a threshold: more than half of births to American women under 30 occur outside marriage. The fastest growth in the last two decades has occurred among white women in their 20's who have some college education but no 4-year degree, according to Child Trends, a Washington research group that analyzed government data.
Among mothers of all ages, a majority-59 percent in 2009-are married when they have children. But the surge of births outside of marriage among younger women-nearly two-thirds of children in the United States are born to mothers under 30-is both a symbol of the transforming family and a hint of coming generational change. One group still largely resists the trend: college graduates, who overwhelmingly marry before having children. That is turning family structure into a whole new class divide, with the economic and social rewards of marriage increasingly reserved for people with the most education.

Abercrombie or Hollister
Abercrombie and Fitch or Hollister are the two main clothing brands being brought by 12-26 years old in the United States. Some say that they wear hollister because of the colors and how calm that it makes them feel when they do wear it. But on the other hand people wear abercrombie or crombie for short wear it because it shows that they get money and it shows that they are staying up with the fashion world. http://www.sazzy.co.uk/2010/01/hollister-vs-abercrombie-branding-and-user-experience/. This is were i got all my information about hollister and crombie. These two main clothing brands have powered housed threw other brands like Nike or Adidas and Puma, also Forever 21. Just in the last 2 years crombie and hollister and sold over 58.5 million dollars combine. This was more than nike or adidas in 2009.

Facebook is using you
We read a article about Facebook just yesterday. The article says that its just using us for its advertisement. Because when we like something we just start to see random things about what we just liked on the little sidebar. This is how Facebook makes majority of its money. Also at the same time they are selling our information at an unreasonable price. How would you feel if someone could just have all of your information at anytime. the lawyer named Lori Andrew says that this should just be against the law. Just like with the bill collectors calling after like 7 something. That they convinced the congress to stop bill collectors to not call before and after 7'o clock. Life was much easier after that law was passed. So when congress hopefully passes this bill I think people will be better off. Besides Facebook is only using us in the long run. They get all the bread. While we just sit on the sidelines and get no parts of the paper. So do we really need Facebook in our lives. Maybe the author has something right going on here.

Who's better Bron or Melo?
There is a decusion around the league saying that Le Bron James is better than Carmelo Anthony, and vise verses. The stats is the only way to prove who is better than the other. Bron scores 27.6 points and Melo scores 21.8 points per game. So thats one for LeBron James. Melo gets 5.8 broads while Bron gets 8.1 rebounds per game. So now thats two to zero for LeBron James. And the all most important stat that shows that your a team player is how many assist you average. Bron averages 6.8 assist a night. While Melo averages 4.2 assist a night. So to some they would say that LeBron James is the better player because he just beat Carmelo Anthony 3 stat columns to nothing. But their is one more stat that is the most important one of them all. The clutch factor is the column the shows if you win or lose close games. And from the looks of it LeBron only closed 3 of 17 close games last season, while Carmelo closed 11 of 14 close games last season. So now the world knows who's really better at the sport of basketball. I'm tried of people saying that LeBron is better than Carmelo and vise verser. To me I think that its Carmelo because I can depend on him in late game situations to bring home a victory.

I'm a criminal
The article I'm a criminal is mostly about how the felons have been convicted over such small things like being caught with drugs or beening caught drunk driving. the purpose of her writing This article was written to introduce to everyone that everyone has been or done something bad in their life's. Like steal a piece of candy from the neighborhood when they were young. Or maybe you've been out drinking a little too much. Or something as small has just beening caught with some drugs in your possession. But we manage to put felons in jail for periods of time for crimes that we see as hanis. But when they come out some of them aren't allowed to vote, or get much needed welfare or medical care that they need. This is vital in starting a life all over again in america. And also some of the stuff that the felons have done could have been 20 years ago. But the doc says that the felons are still felons but everyone deserves a second chance at life. The main purpose of this article is to let people know that you shouldn't deny them of there god given right's.

whats wrong with apple
The story in the papers are saying that overseas companies are working their workers too hard. the workers are rebelling and saying that they are ordered to spray chemicals to clean clean only an Ipad sceern. That has sent many workers to the hospital. Now the explosion in china and its apple workers is because of many things like dust, and the building not being properly inspected. Apple has many things wrong with it but to some its just that their not being paid enough, while they have to work 16 hour shift
Photoshopped or Not? A Tool to Tell
Some scientist at Dartmouth are complaining that magazines and advertisements are just becoming to fake. They say that they found out that some articles are actually making models thinner, bigger breast, bigger lips, popping or poking away blemish marks, and many other things. They think that its wrong because their sending young women the idea that being skinny is in. When they think that just being yourself is the best way at all. These scientist at Dartmouth are named Dr. Hany Farid, and Eric Kee. These guys have put their heads together and came up with an idea. That they're going to rate the photo's on a scale from 1-5. One being not to many touch-ups, and five being like they touched it up to the limit. This is suppose to let people know that when they read the magazines that some of the models in their aren't what they really look like. The scientist say that people shouldn't be fooled by magazines and tell us what way we should look like. People have the god given right to look the way they want. Why should we change our appearances because a magazines tells us to.

Cracking Teenagers
"Cracking Teenagers" is a passages about how Dr. Danah Boyd feels about the Internet and how it reacts with teenagers today. teenagers today have a way to speak to each other that is She actionally says that it is safer now then it is back then. But if you look at the numbers of death of 1990 until now. The numbers have dropped surpriselly from the hundred-thousandths to the thousands. She also says that the social networks help children express their feelings better. Because they feelings are open to the world and to people that are going through what they are going through. Dr. Danah also says that when their feelings are widely open they really don't meet child predators online. There most likely to meet child predators in their family or someone that they closely know. All and all teens are safer now. They're better protected by online safety measures. To be honest i think that Dr. Danah Boyd is maybe the smartest female worker in America at this time present or moment in history.

Teaching Kids
Some children say that the teachers that they get are" Whack or Boring and sometimes the occasionally your just flat out Corny". But teachers say the reason why we are like this is because you guys don't let us get to the "poppin or fun stuff" as you guys would say. School can be fun but i admit that they are boring to me because they haven't taught me anything new in the time that I have been in school. I say that if school does get longer I do think there will actually be a hell on earth. School is already long enough and if its longer I surely think that there will be complanments. School is already 10-months long now its suppose to be year round with short summer breaks. Students need a long vacation while some teachers say that they don't want to see our faces during their break anyway. So for the teachers and for the students it should be longer.

Biggest Story Of 2011
The biggest story of 2011 is when Obama sent specially trained Black Ops to kill Osama Bin laden. This story was covered back in August of 2011. Americans were so happy when this happened because it took use 10 years to find him. And he was hiding right next to the military base it was so unthough of. Nobody would have though of that. Because that would have been to retarded to hide so close and in plan sight of a navy base.
When he organized the 9/11 attack on the US we were so scared but we fought back. We went over in Iraq and Baghdad and looked for bomb, and him but we didn't find any bombs. But we did find him ten years later after a heinous crime that he committed ten years earlier. The men in blue said " that they weren't going to release the photo's of his death because that would be disrespectful to his nation and his religion." But to me i think the real reason was because they didn't want anybody else attacking the united states.
Obama promises peace for a long time but everyone knows that peace doesn't stick around for very long.

Plan B Morning After Pill
This pill is a pill that prevents pregnancy from happening if you did not use protection. Obama and others in the white house are arguing over the fact that it should be sold over the counter to all ages and or people who are becoming pregnant. Some say that Obama only said that the ruling should stay intact is because he has a upcoming election and he wants to get reelected as president of the united states. The people that are for him seams to think that he just wants to be reelected instead of doing the right thing. Mothers and fathers around the U.S are afraid that their duagthers will be too afraid to come to them to tell them that the are pregnant. So by making the pill open to younger ages it could reduce the amount of people coming into this world that cant be taking care of.
